stop press!
You’ve done it again, you lot!
Your support and enthusiasm has seen Secrets climb the Top Ten to a fabulous no.5 this week - just 40 copies off the no.4 spot!  Thank you so very much.
I’m just back from a jam-packed but fun and fantastic trip to promote the book - and I’ll be blogging AT LENGTH in the next day or so.  For the time being, sending you my gratitude, I wish you all a great weekend.  Freya x

Fantastic news and well-deserved as always! I’m really pleased for you and evangelise about your books all the time! Am still getting through your book (more slowly than usual now that I have B! LOL) and loving it! (Of course ;P)
    xx

Congratulations on a brilliant book, your best yet. I loved Tess and Joe and couldn’t put it down, found myself having to read a chapter here and there between looking after the kids etc. Love the website and the character info, thank you.

Boo Hoo! Just finished your book. It was fantastic, as always, I am so sad I have finished it. Well done for another brilliant read, though. Your place in the bestseller lists is well-earned, as always. Might just have to pop up to Saltburn one weekend soon. I can’t believe I am a Yorkshire lass and have never been!

  6. Sara Says:

Love it, love it, love it! I grew up in Saltburn and remember being forced to wear a Victorian dress every summer… Shame I never bumped into a Seb & am now in London. Maybe I should do a Tess…! Will be taking the book back to Saltburn for Mum to read.

  7. Jo Says:

Just wanted to say thanks for Secrets…I love it! I grew up in nearby Guisborough and spent many happy hours in Saltburn (my Dad was in a boat examining the pier in the 1970s when Mum went into labour!). Our school geography field trip was based in the Italian Gardens and I spent quite a lot of time in the many pubs as a teenager! Thank you - it’s been nice to remember and I haven’t been able to put the book down.

  8. Ally Says:

Totally loved Secrets and as Saltburn-by-the-sea is only 1 mile away from me i know it inside out.I walk my dog and kids there all the time,so the book was even more brilliant to me as i new everywhere you went around the area.
Well done Freya,it was totally brilliant!!

I was so excited to see your book on the shelves in my local bookshop here in NZ. Once a yearI get so excited to be able to loose myself in one of your books. I am about to finish Secrets but to be honest just don’t want it to end. Saltburn has fond memories for me. Firstly, from my school geography trip and then my biking holiday with my best friend. I tell you we got the best value and tasting pizzas there!!!!!!! Thanks for the great reads. Cannot wait ’til May next yr!!

  10. Sheila Hood Says:

I read Secrets on holiday and couldn’t put it down.It made me cry as well as laugh. Thank you in particular, Freya, for not changing your writer’s voice over the years as so many other authors have. Please keep writing - holidays wouldn’t be the same without one of your novels!

  11. Heather Says:

To me your writing just gets better and better! These were great characters, shaped and flawed by family or life circumstances we can all I’m sure identify or empathise with.
I was both hooked from page one and not wanting to finish, unless of course I liked the ending, which I definitely did and next has to be a visit to Saltburn!
