world champ… and little me!

I KNOW it’s been a long time since I updated my blog and I apologize profusely. I’m going to make it up to you with a lengthy post in the journal section. And when I’m feeling particularly brave, I will try and upload some of the videos I’ve been taking over the last few months.
Anyway, welcome back to all of you - it’s nice to chat after a prolonged silence.
I am extremely excited and honoured to tell you that the magical, awesome Beth Tweddle - Great Britain’s recently crowned World Champion gymnast - is currently reading Secrets. Not just in her spare time, mind. She was reading it in the preparation room just before she took to the floor to win a couple of weeks ago. She recommends reading as a way to focus and prepare and to block out the sound of the crowd. I am thrilled, flattered and humbled, Beth, and I know that all my readers will want to congratulate and thank you for your fantastic achievement (all the more awesome when you consider she is just a month off an op on her ankle). We are very proud of you! Roll on 2012, Ms Tweddle.

Freya! Its good to have you back. I thought you had dropped off the face of the Earth! I find that reading helps me relax and not have to worry before I go to sit an exam at school, so I know what Ms Tweedle is talking about!

Hi Freya, I want to introduce myself, I´m Mayra and I´m 21 years old, I´m from Mexico =)… In my last vacation I went to London, and I saw your book in the airport, so I bought it, I really enjoyed it, it´s a great story, also it helped me in my english class… you are an excelent writer!!

hi Freya,
Secrets is the first book of yours which I’ve ever read and I must say that it’s simply terrific! I absolutely adore it! It feels like I can hug this cute little pinkISH book to bed. I just love it sooooo much, even though i’m still on page 181. I’m having exams now but your book never fails in distracting me from my study. It’s not a bad thing, tho’, because it’s so much fun.
I look forward to seeing more books of yours on sale in my country (I live in Vietnam)

I have just finished reading Secrets and thought it was absolutely fabulous. I have read pillow talk which again was wonderful. I love reading your books and find that once I begin I find hard to put them down. I am a 29 year old single mom of two so find life very repeatative and very much routine but reading your stories transports me to somewhere new and exciting and part of me is left wanting to visit the places descibed in your book. Thanks very much for writing these great stories, I can’t wait to read another one.

Sam, I’m flattered. Thank you. The new book will be on the shelves next Spring…and I promise I’ll be updating the website soon (tut tut) Freya
